The demand for plus size fashion is higher then ever and seems to be finally gaining customer satisfaction.

The media coverage regarding plus size fashion last week, made huge waves within the industry. Journalists from the Daily Mail reported that a quarter of women are now a size 18 and larger- a statistic which has risen by 45% in the past five years. Providing fashions for plus size is proving to be the fastest growing market for retail chains. Stores have started to introduce size ranges of 20+, while others have been trying out larger mannequins, including Debenhams, who are currently running a trial version.

M&S have moved away from having a separate plus range, by offering larger sizes in the fashions available to all other shoppers. They also introduced a plus sized range of school uniforms just last month.

It now seems that the commercial viability of increasing the plus size market has been recognized at last. What every woman wants, irrespective of size, is high fashion; and now it feels like the beginning of a revolution in plus size, expanding to give women a greater choice then ever before.
